Song Nian 松年

(B. 1911 - 1998)


China’s famous gold stone painter, Songnian Mage, Jiangsu Hailing people. He is intelligent, highly understood, the literary foundation is solid, long tradition of family learning, his ancestors are origin from the Jiangsu and Zhejiang area of the Wang ethnic group. Growing up intellectual fame family, he was inspired at the age of six and became interested in the books and arts at the age of eight. Sixteen years old converted to Buddha Gate, seventeen years old into Tsinghua University specializing in literature, Mage specializes in calligraphy and painting, work in poetry, but also good at gold stone to compose poetry, the title on the painting, bell to seal, set four in a furnace. Self-inflicted path, he had created his unique Font known as  <Songnian Font>, is popular today.
