杨 倬 卿 女 士

YANG CHO CHENG, RUTH 

(1917.6.4 – 2003.8.19)

1917年生于新加坡，祖籍中国广东潮安。

毕业于新加坡南洋女子中学及新加坡师资训练学院，并曾在南洋美术专科学院研究班进修。兼擅中西绘画，尤擅指画。

为新加坡艺术协会、中华美术研究会和三一指画会永久会员，乐龄书画会理事。曾担任新加坡体育教师图工导师，作品曾参加各画会常年美展。

杨氏为新加坡中华书局和商务印书馆已故总经理施寅佐先生之夫人，1975年协助施先生创办中华画廊。1987年施先生辞世后，担任中华和商务画廊的名誉顾问。

Born in Singapore in 1917, his ancestral home is Chao’an, Guangdong, China.

She graduated from Nanyang Girls’ Middle School in Singapore and the Singapore Teacher Training Institute, and studied in the research class of Nanyang College of Fine Arts. He is also good at Chinese and Western painting, especially finger painting.

She is a permanent member of the Singapore Art Association, the Chinese Art Research Association and the Trinity Finger Painting Association, and a director of the Leling Calligraphy and Painting Association. He used to be a drawing tutor for physical education teachers in Singapore.

Mdm Yang was the wife of Mr. Shi Yinzuo, the late general manager of the Chinese Book Bureau and the Commercial Printing House in Singapore. She assisted Mr.Shi to establish the Chung Hwa Art Gallery and the Commercial Printing House in Singapore in 1975. After Mr. Shi passed away in 1987, she served as an honorary consultant of the Chung Hwa Art Gallery and the Commercial Printing House in Singapore.
