高式熊，上海市书法家协会顾问、上海文史研究馆馆员、西冷印社名誉副社长、中国书法家协会会员、上海华都画院院长、上海民建书画院院长、棠柏印社社长。

他幼承家学，书法得到父亲亲授，20岁时获上海名家赵叔孺、王福庵指导，擅书法、篆刻及印学鉴定，书法出现入矩，斋雅大方；后又喜摹印作，对历代印谱、印人流派极有研究。其书法楷、行、篆、录兼擅，清逸洒脱，尤以小篆最为精妙，与篆刻并称双美。著述宏富，成就斐然，驰誉海内外。

2009年荣获中华书画印大展贡献奖、同年中国文联授予高式熊先生从事新中国文艺工作六十周年荣誉称号。

In 2009 won the Contribution Award of the Great Exhibition of Chinese Book and Painting Printing, the same year the Chinese Federation of Culture awarded Mr. Gao Xiong the honorary title of 60th anniversary of his work in the new Chinese literature and art.
