He was born in 1936 in Liaoning Province and graduated in 1965 from Luxun School of Art.  in 1979, he won the third prize in a national artist contest and several other provincial and municipal prizes. In the past fifty years, he paid special attention to the lotus. Based on the traditional literature, he tried to use new artist language to illustrate the “life”. In 1991 to 1992, he went to Taiwan and held the lotus series artworks exhibition. Many of his artworks have been collected by the state institutes and individual from Japan, America, Canada, Brazil, Taiwan & Hong Kong.

1936年出生于辽宁，中国。1965年毕业于鲁迅美术学院。1979年曾荣获国家三等奖，并获得省、市多项奖项。从艺50年来，对荷花情有独钟，在传统基础上面对“生活”，大胆尝试新的艺术语汇。1991-1992年赴台湾举办荷花系列作品展，多幅作品被日本、美国、加拿大、巴西等国家机构及台湾河香港地区个人收藏。
