Artist MT. Oung was born in 1965 in Yangon, Myanmar. He studied art under artists Maung Maung Ba, Tin Maung Oo, U Win Pe Myint (WPM) and renowned art master U Ko Shwe Oung Thame. The artist is much Known for this photo-realistic paintings of landscapes and figure. Since 1983, he has participated in approximately 70 group exhibitions and exhibited 10 solo shows in Myanmar and overseas. The artist exhibited his solo show at Orchard Point Exhibition Hall in Singapore in 1997, at J Gallery, The Oriental in Singapore in 2000, 2001 and 2003, to name a few. His most recent solo exhibition was at Bahan Gallery in Myanmar in 2014. In 2014, the artist participated in artist-in-residence program at Fukuoka Artist Art Museum in Japan.
